Regular militaries and regular police scare me enough. This chapter is about paramilitaries, those groups of assholes with guns who begin some little ragtag outfit and then (if the worst happens) become the real deal. Like Trump's goons at rallies or those guys who take it upon themselves to "protect the border" or that church that felt it needed its own police or any person who seems to be looking forward a day when the United States becomes a wild west shootout.
I'm certainly "wary" of this, though I admit I don't know what I can do about it much.
